The fourth Dimension
Powerful and economical — that’s the new C 350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY from Mercedes-Benz. The sedan completes a quartet of BlueEFFICIENCY models in the C-Class range.

The hood conceals a very special six-cylinder engine: the world’s first gasoline engine with spray-guided direct injection. This innovative injection technology already made a successful debut in the CLS-Class.

Piezo injectors respond in fractions of a millisecond to spray fuel directly into the cylinder several times per stroke. Inside each injector is an actuator made of piezo crystals that expand within an electrical field and operate the injection valve. Replacing the former solenoid valves, the injectors hold the key to the efficiency of this model.

Compared to the current C 350, the six-cylinder engine in the C 350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY consumes approximately 14 percent less fuel while at the same time delivering 15 kW/20 hp more power. And there is extra torque on top for even greater agility.

The C 350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY pampers the driver with a rich selection of standard equipment, including the Intelligent Light System and Agility Control suspension. The new model is available with the “Elegance” design and equipment package or, alternatively, as the sporty “Avantgarde” variant.
